Some like it hot

Posted by on September 23, 2009

I will probably eat these words later BUT, there isn’t a food that’s too hot for me.

Hot peppers, I’ll eat them. Hot sauce, load me up. Salsa, I’m in.

For dinner the other night we likely paired two of the hottest items out there – jalapenos and hot wings. And we called it a meal.

To make the wings I simply marinated them in Frank’s Redhot Buffalo Wing Sauce (which I definitely recommend). Instead of frying the wings like they are traditionally made, I baked them in the oven at 500 degrees for about 15 minutes and then for the last two minutes put them on broil. They were crispy and delicious. And I pretend they were healthier because they were baked.

As for the pepper: Cut her open, stuff her with cream cheese, wrap in bacon and cook in the oven (at any temperature, really) until the bacon is done to your liking.

We, of course, served the wings up with blue cheese dressing and downed them with a glass of water. And another, and another.
