I am not even exaggerating when I say that what I made for dinner was one of my favorite things I’ve ever made. In my whole life.
OhmyGodwasitgood.
We were inspired to make Smoked Salmon Pizza after a trip to the Saturday Farmers’ Market where we purchased spiced smoked salmon, which was good enough to eat all by itself, but I saved some for future use. And it turned out the future use was this:

It was to die for.
What you’ll need:
store-bought pizza crust
extra-virgin olive oil
Pepper
8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
1/4 cup drained capers
2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
juice of 1/2 lemon
3/4 pound sliced smoked salmon
Preheat the oven to 450°. Drizzle the crusts with olive oil, season with pepper and bake for 10 minutes. Let cool slightly.

Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, shallots, 2 tablespoons capers, 1 tablespoon dill and the lemon juice.
Spread the cream cheese mixture on the crust.

Top with the smoked salmon, remaining 2 tablespoons capers and 1 tablespoon dill. Cut into wedges.

If you try one recipe I’ve ever posted here, this should be it. Trust me. And now go buy the ingredients and get cookin’.
