We seriously drove out to the middle of no where for dinner last night.
We drove and drove and followed our GPS’s direction just hoping it would even get us to the what Jeff was calling a “legendary supper club.” And finally, out in the distance, there were a few lights, which Jeff assured me would be dinner.
After a few drinks at the bar, we had the usual salad – with French dressing – and soup – french onion – and a bread basket. I had baked haddock and a tenderloin steak and Jeff had shrimp scampi and a tenderloin steak. Needless to say, we both brought 1/2 of a steak home, that’s a lot of food! But it was delicious.
My steak was perfectly prepared, just how I liked it – medium. So, the food was great, but like most supper clubs, the decor was ugly. I guess that’s how it goes. We sat next to some drunk snowmobilers who provided the entertainment for the evening, so that was fun.
It is not a restaurant you would even bump in to, so bring your GPS. Here is the address: 9497 County Road D Winneconne, WI 54986-9540 - (920) 685-2721.
