Oshkosh’s Planet Perk has always been one of my favorite local places to grab a coffee or a sandwich. I try not to go out to lunch a lot but since I usually fail, Perk is my standard stop. An egg salad sandwich to go, please.
Until today.
I knew their menu was changing from the signs that hang in their store front windows but I guess I never imagined that it meant my favorite sandwich would be removed from the menu. I know, I know, it’s egg salad Mandy, not rocket science. Make your own. (So, if you have any good egg salad recipes, I’m in need of a good one).
So, I ordered something different today and while it’s good, I’m still disappointed. I spent more money than I used to on my old favorite and it’s not a new favorite. I got an Italian sandwich (hard salami, ham, roasted red peppers, fresh mozzarella, Italian vinaigrette and spinach on focaccia bread) for $5.95.
It’s good but my vote is still that Perk bring back the egg salad.
